Gui Zhi has functions such as inducing sweating, warming the meridians, dispelling cold, clearing yang, relieving pain, and enhancing yang and qi. It can be used for palpitations, chest pain, warming meridians and collaterals, clearing heart yang, promoting urination, and dredging collaterals. It can also be used for symptoms such as wind-cold, fever, and the common cold. When combined with some other medicinal herbs, it also has a certain effect in dispelling wind-cold, treating dysmenorrhea, joint pain, and significantly treating rheumatoid arthritis.
